Rooftop System

Rooftops; It is a compact and combined air conditioner that combines the air handling unit and condensing device in a single structure, includes the outdoor unit and the indoor unit, and where the entire heating and cooling cycle takes place in the same unit. This system, also called roof type air conditioner, is a part of packaged air conditioners. Package type air conditioners; It can be examined in two groups as commercial and industrial. Devices with a capacity of up to 18 KW, the majority of which are used in residences, are grouped as commercial, devices with a capacity of over 18 KW used in large commercial areas are grouped as industrial. The general purpose of use of Rooftops is to give fresh air to the desired place and to clean the air inside the space by making use of the air in the environment as well as transforming the air inside. Also rooftops; It can be used in many places for heating, cooling, ventilation and humidity control. These air conditioners can be evaluated in terms of “cooling only” or “heating and cooling”. Heating process; It can also be done by using an electric heater, hot water battery or gas burning module, with the device acting as a heat pump by reversing. In the cooling process; The heat is taken from the indoor environment and transmitted to the outdoor environment. During this process, the outdoor coil functions as a condenser, and the indoor coil functions as an evaporator. The structure of the rooftops consists of 5 main parts. Expansion valve, evaporator, fan, compressor and other complementary parts. The refrigerant gas compressed in the compressor is sent to the condenser. In the condenser, the temperature of the compressed gas is lowered and it becomes liquid. This section is called the “high pressure circuit”. After the condenser, the refrigerant is sent to the expansion valve and its pressure is reduced. The pressure-reduced refrigerant is transferred to the evaporator, where evaporation will take place. This section is the “low pressure circuit”. The refrigerant leaving the evaporator goes back to the compressor to complete the cycle. The cycle continues in the form of heat removal and heat recovery. Usage areas of Rooftop devices; restaurants, airports, shops, cinemas, theaters and conference halls, industrial buildings and large commercial buildings. Rooftop models and capacities may vary depending on the location and size of the space.
